Summer Bucket List

Summer is officially here and boy did it come in with a bang – only a week in and we are already expecting 111 degree temps in Central California next week, eek!!!

But with the heat comes days in the pool, a diet based entirely on BBQ, watermelon and ice cream and lots of family fun. Now that the kiddo is a little older, I feel like we can do so many more activities that will make our summer super memorable and I can’t wait to dive head first into our bucket list this year:

  • Go night swimming
  • Try the Starbucks “pink drink” (this one is for me)
  • Get chocolate wasted
  • Have waffles & ice cream for breakfast
  • Run through the sprinklers
  • Host a potluck picnic
  • Learn how to garden
  • Visit the planetarium
  • Build an ant farm
  • Make bird feeders
  • Have a water balloon fight
  • Make root beer floats
  • Have a sleep over at grandma & grandpas
  • Get a tan tattoo (for me also, I haven’t gotten a good tan in years)
  • Master our fort building skills
  • Make homemade ice cream
  • Unplug for an entire day
  • Have a food truck food fest
  • Build a sand castle
  • Visit the Children’s Museum

After swim lessons this year, Mark has been all about the pool – I literally can’t get him out without a struggle, so naturally swimming made the top of the list. If you have a list of your own, or have any other ideas please share them in the comments. I would love to get more ideas!!
